Tuneful
An entertaining all-black musical with a standard plot. Nominally costars Billy Daniel and gorgeous Sheila Guyse. Better acting and production values, and the print is in a better state of preservation, than most of the all-black films at IA. Good musical performances include two up-tempo swing instrumentals. An odd note is the appearance of Freddie Bartholomew to deliver standup jokes, sitting down.
Acceptable video and audio. There are a few missing frames.
